Anthony O'Driscoll has the following affiliations:

He is a graduate of the prestigious Medical School of the University
of Cape Town (1986). He was proxime accesit in medicine (1984). After
working in surgical specialties, and then general practice in
Canada, he specialized in ophthalmology in England from 1991. His
initial interest was in cataract surgery; particularly researching
astigmatism. Thereafter he obtain additional subspecialty training in
vitreoretinal surgery at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre,
Birmingham, UK. He maintains a keen interest in retinal and cataract
related disorders and keeps up to date with latest developments.
Anthony O'Driscoll lectures routinely to medical students,
ophthalmologists and optometrists.

He was national 200 metre breaststroke agegroup champion in South
Africa in 1976 and continues competing at masters level. He holds
several British and European records and won the 100 meter
breaststroke at World Masters Swimming Championships in 2000.
